Calling All Carrie Bradshaws...

I've been sick which is always a great time to watch a "good feeling" movie a.k.a. Sex and the City. I watched the second movie for about the 1910 time but I am left with an inspiration. The amount of amazing outfits, shoes, accessories makes me feel better in a minute! Although I do love Carrie in her tutus and sparkle, I absolutely adore the gypsy feel of all the outfits in Abu Dhabi. The head wraps and beautiful caftans that all the girls wore were incredible.

When looking through my old pictures I came across these I took ages ago.
I immediately thought, SO CARRIE.

Back for Good

Yes, I am back for good. My attempt at keeping up with my blog had failed but I promise that will soon change. The amount of school work I have had is what stopped me from posting. I really want to put effort into the blog and will try my best to make time to do so. I have recently made a large purchase at Topshop, definitely one of my favorite stores! It is mind boggling to me that literally every time i walk into that store I always fall in live with majority of what I try on and always have a hard time narrowing the items down at the register and let me tell you this rarely happens to me (due to my extreme pickiness.) I don't know if I have ever written in my "few" post I have that I have been practicing my makeup skills since the beginning of this year. I have always loved experimenting with makeup for the most part because of my love for art which, it is truly an art. I've learned a lot from various makeup artist on youtube actually. My favorite being Pixiwoo (you should all defiantly check them out!) A couple of the following pictures of me in my vampy costume on Halloween! The others are just some pics of me practicing my makeup skills (so sorry for the horrible quality.)

American Apparel body suit, skirt constructed by me,
Hot Topic lace gloves and necklace

My VAMPY makeup look

This look was inspired by the fall 2010 runway looks from
designers like Prada ( as seen below) and Louis Vuitton.
This glamorous and lady like style was defiantly inspired
by the show Mad Men and I think it is so elegantly chic.

The Night of Fashion

Here are the Fashions Night Out pictures! Anna Wintour looked amazing in Chanel tweed and FNO tee. Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham both looked fabulous! The extremely inspiring Brian Atwood also made an appearance at Bergdorfs. I was up close with many other inspiring individuals but sadly did not get any more good pics!

Kain tee,  Wolford tights,  Nookie shorts,  Chanel bag

Spotted: Anna Wintour in amazing Chanel tweed worn with FNO tee!!
Pretty sure I can spot that hair anywhere!

Tinsley Mortimer
Brian Atwood and Victoria Beckham.
Sarah Jessica Parker looked gorgeous! Kind of inspired to go get myself an embellished blazer.

FNO

Fashions Night Out was insane!!! Thank god I had a way to get in without waiting on lines but thats just another story! All I can say is I got into Bergdorfs and it was major (as Rachel Zoe would say.) I brushed shoulders with Anna Wintour who was wearing a Fashions Night Out tee with a Chanel tweed coat! We later saw Sarah Jessica Parker who looked beautiful in a sequin jacket and blue dress! Followed by Brian Atwood, Tinsley Mortimer, Victoria Beckem AND MORE!!! It was an exciting night of Fashion and it was easy to feel the creative vibe!! I can not wait for next years! The pictures will be up very soon.

Summer Ending

Summer is coming to an end and while I am so depressed about school starting I think I am definitely ready to trade in my shorts and tanks for jeans and chunky knits! I cant wait to throw this sweater over every outfit for that hint of grunge rock.

Something Else

In Spain my favorite shop (still trying to remember the name) carried designers from all over the world which was clearly a huge plus for me! I love seeing how people are dressing from all around the world and being introduced to upcoming designers that are not already stocked up in every store possible. The brand that I was drawn to the most was the Australian label Something Else by Natalie Wood. The Winter 2010 line contains some of my favorite styles (grungy, bohemian, and minimalism) in one amazing cohesive collection.

Chiffon Addiction

I am obsessed with the olsens chiffon dresses they wore to the ELLE Style Awards. Mary-Kate paired her black chiffon dress with patent leather YSL booties and Ashley wore Fendi chiffon platforms! ALL TO DIE FOR!

Both from Topshop

Seeing Spots

Leopard print is a must this fall! The print spices up just about any outfit and gives off that vintage glamour feel! Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (my FAVORITE fashion icons) look fabulous in their amazing leopard pieces!

While on the search for a perfect leopard coat I came accross this faux fur Zara bag! I could already picture wearing it out till the straps about to break!

Walking on a Dream

There are so many ways to wear a scarf. They add the perfect amount of color and/or texture to any blank canvas.

Stuck in the 60's

When I look back on the incredible years of fashion the 60's and 70's remain my favorite of all! The effortless glamour of hippie chic is irresitstable. The flowy caftans, fringe to the floor, and intricate embroidery is just amazing!

Grace Slick and Michelle Philips are just some of my favorite 60s-70s muses!!!

New Beginnings

Hi! I am an aspiring fashion illustrator, artist, and stylist. I have been contemplating whether to start my own blog for a while now and for some reason today felt like the right day to start!

I spent my summer in Tarifa, a small town in southern Spain.  The town was so beautiful and I had an amazing time! They had adorable little gypsy bohemian shops that I fell in love with!
